Change Of Venue


Today at Bible Study there was one of those regular

ice-breaker questions and one of the questions was

“What do you like about your home town?”

To which I gave my usual tinned response

“I don’t have one, move on.”

I just decided to look once again at the ‘list’ of where and how often I was moved as a child and... I decided to post the list here so I'd be able to find it going forward...

-November 1972 born in Midwest City, Okahoma.


-Moved to Keesler AFB, Biloxi Mississippi in Feb 1973. We were there till May 1974. (Dad got out of Air Force)


-Moved to Arkidelphia Arkansas from May of 1974 till Jan 1977


-Moved to Kansas City, Missouri Jan of 1977 till Oct 1977


-Moved to Glenn's Ferry, Idaho  Oct 1977- Jan 1978


-Moved to Fort Worth, Texas Jan 1978- Jun 1978.


-Moved to Maplesville, Alabama from June 1978-Sep 1980. (Adam born 11-25-79 died 11-28-79)


-Moved to Nyssa, Oregon, from Sep 1980- Feb 1982. (Aubrey born, Nampa, Idaho Nov 4, 1980)


-Moved to Warner Robins, Georgia Feb ‎1981- Jun 1983. (Ashley born there 1 Mar 1982.)


-Moved Greeley, Colorado June1983-Sept1983. (Dad went back in Air Force)


-Moved back to Midwest City, Ok from Sep 83- Dec 85.  (actually moved to OKC, then to Midwest City, then to Tinker, then to Midwest City, four school changes) (Dad got out of Air Force for about 6 months... Six months of six people in a one bedroom low rent apartment where three of us weren’t even supposed to be there. Fun times!!)


-Moved Rapid City, SD from Dec 85 till Summer1986


-Moved to EAFB SD Summer of 1986 till 1991
(except for a six months break down in Prague Oklahoma in 1987ish)

As an adult:

-Montgomery Alabama 1991-1992

-Wahiawa Hawaii 1992-1994

-Schofield Barracks Hawaii 1994-1995

-Omaha Nebraska 1995-1996

-Bellevue Nebraska 1997-2006

-Pocatello Idaho 2006-2009

-Omaha Nebraska 2009-2015

-Syracuse Nebraska 2015-June 2020

UPDATE April 2023:

-Montevallo Alabama July 2020 till June 2022

-Oxford Alabama June 2022 to present...
